For more than 25 years, HESYS Engineering has connected technical specialists with demanding assignments for customers in aerospace, defence and high-tech. For our customer AIRBUS, we are looking for a suitable candidate.
As a Certification Qualification Engineer for Light Twins, you lead helicopter certification projects and coordinate certification strategies, compliance documentation and authority interfaces. You also coordinate activities to obtain flight clearances for test aircraft and prototypes.
Your tasks

• Lead certification projects, including all associated project management activities such as planning, reporting and risk management
• Establish the certification basis and requirements baseline for modifications to existing helicopter variants or for new helicopter variants
• Define and agree on the certification strategy
• Prepare compliance demonstration programmes and coordinate them with the relevant specialist departments, Chief Engineer and responsible authorities
• Coordinate the activities required for certification within the overall project plan
• Use the Airbus Helicopters Airworthiness network to ensure certification objectives are achieved
• Review and validate compliance documents for conformity with airworthiness regulations or specifications, completeness and mutual compatibility
• Harmonize relevant compliance documents with the responsible authorities
• Approve documents within the privileges of the design organization
• Act as the contact for the responsible authorities on certification matters
• Contribute to the harmonization of future certification projects, for example during proposal preparation
• Coordinate activities to obtain flight clearances for test aircraft and prototypes

Your profile

• Degree in engineering, aerospace engineering or mechanical engineering, in each case at least at Bachelor’s level
• More than one year of professional experience as a Design Engineer and more than one year in aircraft construction
• More than three years of professional experience in each of the following: development, aerospace, product development and project management
• Experience in developing helicopters or helicopter systems
• Knowledge and experience in the certification of aircraft and/or systems
• Project management experience, particularly in transnational projects, is desirable
• At least basic German and English at negotiation level; French is desirable
• Team skills, strong communication and intercultural skills, and a proactive, problem-solving approach
• Good analytical skills, strong assertiveness, coordination skills, and customer and service orientation
