Key Responsibilities:
The Head of Transportation & Foreign Trade EMEA (f-m-d) is responsible for managing relationships with Transportation Service Providers, focusing on the following key areas:
- Contract management;
- Identification of efficiency gains via managing continuous improvement programs;
- KPI management;
- Lead the Transportation & Import/Export Teams.
More specifically, in this role, you will have end-to-end responsibility for:
- Oversight of inbound and outbound freight activities and outbound carrier performance;
- Ownership of the Transportation and P&L budget;
- Lead Import/Export Strategy with the Foreign Trade Office Management;
- Performance monitoring and cost reporting;
- Invoice verification, control, and documentation management;
- Transportation claims management and resolution;
- Assist Sales Business Units to find delivery solutions to customers/consignees requests;
- Implementation of X-docking models;
- Identification and implementation of new transportation routes;
- Driving continuous improvement initiatives:
- Leading and coordinating projects across all key areas of responsibility
- Providing support for the opening, expansion, and transfer of Distribution Centers
Requirements
- Extensive experience in Transportation management areas
- Solid knowledge in the Foreign Trade domain
- Proven track record of process improvement and change management
- Previous experience in team leading
- Willingess to travel as required per the business (from 25% to 50%)
- Competence Knowledge of MS-Office especially with Excel
- Good command of English language
