For our Sindelfingen location, we are looking for:
Senior Project Engineer (m/f/d)
There are two positions available.
Your Responsibilities:
- Conduct research and benchmarking within the assigned area
- Create testing and product specifications
- Act as the interface between customers, engineering, quality, purchasing, and production teams
- Prepare management reports on design and deadline details
- Lead and coordinate project engineers in planning, organizing, and implementing development projects
- Take responsibility for operational aspects of the project, including budget control
- Plan and organize the project team according to project requirements
- Assign tasks to project team members (e.g., technical studies, product design, specifications, testing)
- Create and maintain project plans while ensuring quality and minimizing risks
- Review product designs for compliance with standards, customer requirements, and specifications
- Coordinate technical developments, scheduling, and problem-solving for design and testing
- Evaluate and approve design changes and specifications
- Take responsibility for design and architecture during development, prototype, launch, and throughout the product lifecycle
- Ensure product integrity and compliance
- Act as the primary customer contact and coordinate with internal departments (Sales, Systems, Purchasing)
- Define, implement, and monitor engineering processes
- Promote teamwork and team spirit, train and lead the engineering team
- Contribute to design decisions and changes to improve products and processes
- Lead project teams, including cost estimation and budget responsibility
- Develop, implement, and analyze technical products and systems, including design evaluations
Your Profile
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a comparable field
- Several years of experience in project management and product development
- Knowledge of product design and engineering processes
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Confident in dealing with customers and internal interfaces
- Structured and solution-oriented working style
- Good command of English, both written and spoken
