Process and Quality Engineer

Ford Otosan engages in the business of designing, manufacturing and exporting motor vehicles, engines, transmissions, differentials and their components under the Ford brand at its manufacturing locations in Turkey, for sales in the domestic and foreign markets.
Ford Otosan has requested Luxoft to undertake engineering design and consultancy support to a new Software Defined Vehicle (SDV) Development program that meets the technical and attribute requirements, which will be produced and/or sold worldwide by Ford Otosan and its licensees.

Responsibilities

We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Process and Quality Engineer to support and optimize manufacturing and engineering processes, ensuring high product quality and compliance with automotive industry standards. The ideal candidate will bring a blend of technical expertise, quality control knowledge, and process improvement methodologies to drive efficiency, reduce defects, and contribute to operational excellence.

In this role, you will be responsible for:
Implementing and maintaining quality control methods to meet both internal and external quality standards.
Identifying process inefficiencies and leading root cause analysis to drive corrective and preventive actions.
Applying lean manufacturing principles to streamline workflows, reduce waste, and improve production throughput.
Utilizing statistical analysis tools for process optimization and quality improvement.
Collaborating with design and manufacturing teams using CAD/CAM software for process planning and automation.
Ensuring adherence to safety regulations and compliance standards relevant to the automotive sector.
Leading or supporting process improvement initiatives from planning to execution.
Communicating effectively with cross-functional teams to implement process changes and share best practices.
Continuously monitoring industry developments and integrating modern practices into the organization’s process landscape.

Skills

Must have
Proficiency in quality control tools, inspection techniques, and adherence to industry standards (e.g., IATF 16949, ISO 9001).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skillsю Experience in root cause analysis (RCA), failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA), and control plans
Solid knowledge of lean principles and waste elimination techniques (e.g., 5S, Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping)
Competence in using statistical process control (SPC), Six Sigma tools, and software for data-driven improvements
Familiarity with CAD/CAM tools for design and manufacturing process automation
Understanding of industry safety standards and compliance requirements in automotive manufacturing environments
Ability to plan and oversee quality/process improvement projects from initiation to completion
Effective verbal and written communication skills for cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder alignment
Commitment to ongoing learning and adoption of modern technologies and process trends in the automotive sector
